MyNIC (.my Domain Registry) Sucks!

It has been long time i didn’t buy any .com.my domain name, due to the expensive pricing, and unfriendliness of domain management panel. Just recently, i found .my Domain Registry (formerly known as MyNIC) is having a promotion, thus i register a domain, and thinking to build a small shopping website to play around. Well, i’m expecting to come across a unfriendliness panel, to change the domain DNS server the my newly subscribed hosting. Then i realized that they had changed the panel. Thought it was a good start for me, but end up it is a nightmare for everyone.

In .my Domain Registry, you have 3-4 contacts, each of them have their own login. (Sounds stupid? That’s Malaysia product). So to change the DNS, i need to login with my Domain Technical contact, but i don’t have the password!!! OK, they provide us a link in the email to create the password. I clicked on the link, and reset it through that panel, but FAILED! It keeps saying either my password length or the username is incorrect.

Alright, i’m sure there is nothing wrong with the password length (i’m good in maths, so i know how to calculate the password length!), so i went to check the username with the provided link…… The username is correct! Alright, i request the username from the beginning, and then reset the password, which means i start over the process again!! Finally, i managed to gain the access to change the DNS. You know how long i had spent on it? 25 minutes!

Malaysia product is really untrustable…..

PS : Latest update, i still can’t login to the panel, it failed when i entered the contact code…. guess i will need to contact the .my domain reseller to get it solved.

Racist? It caused by politicians!

Recently, i just came back from Bukit Mertajam. I’m not familiar in that area nor butterworth. Thus, i lost in my way to the Auto City to meet a friend there. I stopped by a petrol station, and asked a Malay who was filling up the petrol for his car. He showed me a happy face and guide me how to go Auto City. It was a little bit too far from there, but he was so patience to guide me (basically, i almost give up). Then another Malay motorcyclist approach me, he didn’t say much but just “Auto City? Ikut saya!”. Then i followed his car, for almost 10 minutes. And i managed to get there.

I wind down my window, and thank him for guiding me there, i was surprise when he told me “sorry ah, you turn kanan, terus jalan. I kena turn kiri balik rumah. You ikut terus saja, kalau lepas, depan ada u-turn, u-turn balik, u boleh sampai juga!”. Which means, he actually not taking the road to go back his home.

I found myself really lucky, to meet the 2 nice Malay guys. Personally, i’m not a racist, and i hate racist most! My home town, almost 90% are Malay + Indian. I got no problem to stay with them, play with them. They are just human being like me, and color skin almost same too! (My skin quite dark actually) . To stop racist, of course, vote smartly!

1 MCA

Almost 2 months fighting, and end up reunion because of “I Love MCA!”…. wow, 1 Malaysia really a big influence to everyone….

1 Malaysia F1 Team

I was so surprised when i read the news in Malaysiakini, that our country is going to form a new F1 team which will join the race begin of 2010, for 10 years.

First, I wonder where who fund the team? Proton? Government? Air Asia? During recession, our government (Proton is GLC) would still want to spend that much of money on this big game? BMW had withdraw from the race, and Proton would want to join it with their Buatan Malaysia Campro Engine? The stupid 1.6 Engine that powered the giant MPV and claimed not under power at all.

Secondly, is there really a need to fund F1 team? What is the objective? To promote the “1 Malaysia” to the whole world. I hope i will not read this tagline when i read the sports news in 2010 . “1 Malaysia failed again, and again!”

Can anyone tell me what’swrong with this government? Recently, I have to paid more to get the lower quality of petrol, RON95. And i hope in the coming year, i won’t have to downgrade to RON92, due to our government needs more fund for the “1 Malaysia F1 Team”
